IRA "Brighton Bomber" Freed From Jail

BELFAST IRA bomber Patrick Magee, jailed for plotting to kill former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in 1984, was freed on Tuesday as part of the Northern Ireland peace deal. Magee served 14 years in prison for bombing the grand hotel in the southern English coastal resort of Brighton where members of Thatcher's Conservative Party were staying for the the party's annual conference.
